Press Release Sample

Press release sample should answer the questions how, why, where, what and when of any project or endeavor. It should be done in a manner that makes people stop and say “this is what I’m looking for”. It is a powerful tool that can make or break your efforts in gaining attention to what you are trying to attain whether be it media attention or big ticket sales to a concert.

At its worst, your press release sample will come out like an unintelligible sales pitch, filled with errors of all kinds. Should that be the case, not only you have wasted your time but you have also ruined your reputation. No reputable company will take notice of what you have to say in your releases.

Always bear in mind to keep your press release sample short, straightforward and contains only significant, valid and factual information. Do not include irrelevant information that has nothing to do with what you are trying to convey to your readers. In the press and media, releases are to the point, nothing fancy and editors are not easily impressed by a writer’s expansive vocabulary. They are not looking to be impressed by the writer’s play on words. In other words, simple words and releases that can be backed by evidence and written concisely is what will attract the media professionals. Remember that your targets are the editors, journalists or media executives, not consumers.

Nobody said that writing press release sample is easy. If that is so, then there will be no shortage of press writers, and no more need for press writing services, press writing articles, books, newsletters and other media. Press releases should be no more than one or two pages. It should be complete and contain contact information, dateline, a headline, the body of the press release and the three hash marks that means “the end”, in journalistic terms.
